About Us

Christine SDRM.jpg

We are a 501(c)3, a foster-based charitable organization established in 2016. Dedicated to finding loving homes for abused, neglected, and abandoned pups of all kinds.

We work tirelessly within the Tri-state area to ensure our dogs are safe, loved, and have a second chance at life. We believe it is our duty to educate the public on proper pet care, including daily nutrients and healthy ingredients, as well as the importance of spaying and neutering your dogs (and cats!)

Our Origins

In 2004, founder of Scooby-Doo's Rescue Mission, Christine, rescued her first shelter rescue dog. His name was Scooby-Doo. In 2011 he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He was up and down, but in 2012 he passed away due to his health complications.

Christine's husband came up with the idea of rescuing another dog and maybe starting her own rescue. They started scanning craigslist for people giving away dogs for free. She would pick them up and get them the medical care that they needed. She would then find them amazing homes.

Our first craigslist save back in 2016

As of April 16, 2016, Scooby-Doo’s Rescue Mission was officially a 501(c)(3) dog rescue, all in the honor and memory of our Scooby-Doo, a Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue dog. He will never be forgotten ♥️
